Engineer Shirt - 13oz. Indigo Sashiko
Engineer Shirt - 13oz. Indigo Sashiko
A refined work shirt based on my grandpa's vintage work shirts he would wear while working as an airplane mechanic, the Engineer Shirt is designed to be a perfect companion in the shop or at the office.
We used a 13oz. indigo sashiko fabric from our friends at Pacific Blue Denims in LA. It's a double weave fabric with both a horizontal pick stitch pattern and a larger more subtle diamond pattern. It's beefy and fairly rigid at the get go but softens up nicely with wear.
The shirt offers a tailored fit with plenty of room to move around. The two flap pockets at the chest feature an expandable pleat to hold all your stuff. Copper snaps and matching indigo thread round out the design.
Crafted to order at the Skinner American Goods workshop in Orlando.
Each garment is crafted to order in the Skinner studio. Current lead time: ~8 weeks.
