Short Sleeve Shirt - 12oz. Indigo Sashiko
Short Sleeve Shirt - 12oz. Indigo Sashiko
When we saw this indigo sashiko fabric - traditionally used in Japanese martial arts uniforms - we immediately knew we'd be making a shirt with it. The intricately textured fabric feels thick and durable yet flowy and comfortable even in the summer heat. The deep navy color works well with just about any pants/jacket combo.
We aimed for a perfectly tailored fit: there's room to move without being too baggy. The hem hits right at the hip and the sleeves hit just below mid-bicep. Saddle brown corozo buttons add a pop of contrast.
Note: This fabric releases a ton of indigo dye, also known as crocking. Expect dye transfer onto lighter fabrics and surfaces until the first few washes.
Crafted to order in-house by a small team using nearly 15 vintage industrial sewing machines we've collected over the years.
