Standard Fit - 22oz. Extra Heavyweight Japanese Selvedge
The 22oz. selvedge denim from the famous Nihon Menpu mill in Japan is the heaviest denim we've ever released, making these the most durable jeans in our lineup.
This fabric is woven with a lower tension weave which helps shorten the break in time. We've paired this denim with an extra thick gold thread and solid copper hardware which will develop an amazing patina right along with the fabric. We chose an intricately textured 12oz. sashiko fabric for the pocket bags and full back pocket liner. Our signature right rear utility pocket is the perfect place to clip your pen or knife without sacrificing full access to the pocket or scratching your wallet or phone.
Over the years we've found our Standard Fit is perfect for almost everyone. It sits right in the middle between a slim and straight fit. A little extra room in the top block lets you move freely while a slightly tapered leg offers a clean silhouette.
Every garment is designed, cut, and sewn by our hands at the Skinner American Goods workshop using vintage industrial sewing machines we've rescued from shuttered factories.

Far and away. The best fit and finish anywhere.
I waiting about 9 weeks because these are all hand made. But the wait was well worth it.

I simply can't sing praises loudly enough for this brand, and Daniel Skinner, founder and owner! Daniel is a one-man band, based in Orlando, and you get the pleasure of dealing with him 1:1 (nothing to get lost in the corporate shuffle).
His craftsmanship and attention to detail are impeccable! 12 oz. Sashiko pocket bags and full back pocket liner, leather backed Japanese copper buttons and rivets, BEEFY veg tan leather patch, etc. Best of all, your customization options are nearly limitless! For example, I asked for blue thread to keep things relatively monochromatic, plus some measurement adjustments from his Fit Guide, and he did a masterful job.
For reference, I'm a slight build: 5' 8" and 150 lbs, and this pair is 30 x 32. I generally order selvedge with a 2" longer than needed inseam because I'm a motorcyclist and favor engineer boots (Unsung House "U-22" and Nicks "Pullman" featured), and prefer the added length to have as much coverage while riding (also provides for greater stacking which yields more prominent roping, honeycombing, etc.).
I have a healthy selvedge collection, and at my core, I'm an IH junkie. I put these RIGHT there with IH's UHR and XHS, and the cut is akin to the 666 (my sweet spot). A million "Thank-Yous" to Daniel for his artisanry and for being such a class act great dude! 🙏
